Acts 16-18 (Saturday June 15)

ACTS, also known as the Acts of the disciples, is an amazing book of the beginning of the first church after the division between God and man was finally made null and void.  Until that point, NO ONE had a personal relationship with God.  It was all done by sacrifices made by the priests.....by following rules and regulations.  Now man could finally have a face to face relationship with God.  ACTs is a template or a picture of what we should be like NOW.  The power to set demonic people free, to heal the sick, to translate (that's when Philip was supernatural moved from one location to the next) and to lead masses of people to the Lord.  We can and should be having signs and wonders follow us.  But are  we willing to face the difficulties?  Not only is the book of Act filled with amazing miracles it is also filled with much persecution.  Are we willing to face the hard stuff?

Acts 16:  Why do you think the Holy Spirit prevented the disciples from visiting certain regions and how did the Holy Spirit prevent them?

Acts 17:  Once again the Jewish/religious people are resisting the news of Jesus.  Why?  Weren't they wanting a Savior?  Why couldn't they see it was Jesus?

Acts 18:  Paul and Silas had been traveling A LOT!  Speaking A LOT!  But was it based on their own ideas?  Just because something is good.....does it mean it is God?  Could there be a wrong time to  witness (speak about Jesus)?

See you at church tomorrow!
