Acts 10-12 (Thursday June 13)

I love the Book of Acts because it's the model of how church is meant to be. Not the hour or two on Sunday but the every day living of your life in community... CHURCH!

Let's look at our next three books together:

Acts 10

Verse 9-22 - God gives Peter a vision. What did the vision signify?

In the rest of the chapter something amazing happens. The Holy Spirit is received by Gentiles. God breaks through all national, racial and religious barriers. Salvation and power through The Holy Spirit is for EVERYONE. How awesome is this!?

In Acts 11 Peter explains his actions. Have you ever had to explain your actions? Have you ever noticed religious people needing more explanation than non-believers? Is it easier for someone who NEEDS God's help to believe and trust in Him than it is for someone who thinks they don't need help?

Acts 12 - Read this Chapter. Read it again!

Evil comes against God and His Church

God responds.
